We’re on to another winner!

RURAL Asset Finance is onto a winner this week – as our CEO Matthew Smart has been judging the LAMMA Innovation Awards!

As well as RAF sponsoring the awards, Matthew, along with Farmers Guardian and Andrew Knowles from Framlingham Farmers, is assessing entries in the Digital Technology Innovation category.

“It’s a great pleasure to be one of the judges in such a special category,” he says. “The technology throughout British farming is simply awe-inspiring. Farmers themselves are uniquely resourceful and creative, but many people outside the sector don’t realise what a huge role innovative technology plays in supporting them to feed our nation. Farmers’ brilliant ability to find creative solutions, backed up by state-of-the-art digital innovation, is an extraordinary combination to put food on our tables.”

Matthew and his fellow judges’ decisions will be revealed in the coming weeks, and the winner will receive their trophy on January 15 at the LAMMA show at Birmingham’s NEC.

“As an innovative, non-bank agricultural lender ourselves, we see and fund so many projects that start with one farmer’s brilliant idea,” says Matthew. “Whether that’s expansion, diversification, renewable energy installation, or simply for a new vehicle or piece of machinery that will enable them to do things in a new, efficient way, we truly support innovation – and are delighted to have this opportunity to celebrate it.”
